Portrait of an author in North Devon

Richard Williamson wrote this feature article on HW after staying with him from Monday, 22 April, to Tuesday, 30 April 1963. HW recorded in his diary on 22 April, 'Richard arrived 3.30 Barnstaple station'. The title is an accurate one, for Richard paints an excellent picture of HW's routine at this time.
